Well Hello There

I grew up in a small town in West Virginia, surrounded by woods, rivers, and stories told around campfires. Those quiet landscapes and raw moments of everyday life sparked my imagination early on. I was always drawn to movies that felt larger than life, films that could turn ordinary people into legends and make you believe adventure still existed just beyond the horizon.

I’m Tyler Little, a film director and founder of Middleport Pictures, where I focus on stories that celebrate adventure, resilience, and the human spirit. Before filmmaking, I served in the U.S. Air Force as an Emergency Manager, specializing in chemical, biological, and nuclear defense. That experience taught me how to stay calm under pressure and lead with purpose, qualities I bring to every set I work on.

After leaving the military, I discovered my passion for directing films that blend emotion, authenticity, and craftsmanship. My work reflects a deep interest in human connection and the power of visual storytelling to move, challenge, and inspire audiences.

I’m also active in the Veterans Film Festival, helping connect fellow veterans with creative opportunities in the industry. For me, filmmaking isn’t just a career, it’s a way to build community, explore humanity, and empower others to tell stories that truly matter.
